“Into The Wild” is a film directed by Sean Penn and adapted from a book by Jon Krakauer. It is the real story of Christopher McCandless, a college graduate who, because of the reject he feels to the materialist and conventional society he lives in, decides to start a travel which will bring him(after a long journey which includes South Dakota, Colorado and California) into the wild Alaska.
During his journey he meets a series of colorful characters who shapes his understanding of life and whose lives, in turn, he changes. At the end, before dying, he will find his identity and the forgiveness for his parents who have always protected him only economically. So his life finishes, after he has touched the most extreme freedom!
The film shows different wonderful sceneries accompanied by a soundtrack that express very well Chris’s feelings and way of seeing the world around him.
I really enjoyed this film! You wonder what are the values that really matter in life and you learn that there are other ways of living that we often totally ignore but that could offer priceless emotions and lessons!
